Dr. Stephen Swallow has been providing patients with all phases of perioprosthetic dentistry for 35 years and the planning and restorative phases of implant dentistry for 27 years.  Since 2000 he has offered all phases of implant dentistry, a natural result of his continuous education, and he has become a leader in this field.  In 2004, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and, in 2005, a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.  These credentials require extensive education and examinations, the authenticity of which has been upheld by United States courts in both Florida and California.

Dr. Swallow currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and is a past president of the Academy’s Northeast District.  He is a long-term member of the Education Committee of the American Board of Oral Implantogy and is  the chairman of the Education Committee  American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He will soon become the president of the Alabama Implant Study Group, the body that pioneered implant dentistry.  The AISG was the only recognized source of education in implant dentistry for 20 years.
